Yes, I'm Still Alive ;-)

Time sure does get away from me! I've been meaning to post but it's been busy around here!

My parents came for a visit for a week, which was wonderful!! They've gone back home now and things are getting back to normal. Well, as normal as they get.

While they were here my Mom helped me get Kate's quilt done! Here's a picture of the quilt before we sewed down the binding:

The light in the photo is a little funny since the sun was setting but you can get the idea. The batting is wool from her sheep, made into a quilt batt. It was great to quilt after we split it in half--at its full thickness it was so thick that I couldn't control the machine!

I'm thrilled with it and I hope she will be, too.

More later!

Howdy, Cousin! It was good to see the post, although I have noticed you on the "Other Bad Place" from time to time. I have been busy around here too with lambing, etc. so haven't been as prolific posting as I would like. No snow means being outside more, even if the winds is terrible.

I love your quilt! It sounds like you had a wonderful visit with your mom too.

I adore that quilt! I used to have a similar one when I was a child and it was my favorite. Unfortunately I wore it out to shreds. :(
