FO -- 2nd Moebius scarf and instructions!!

Woo hoo!! I finished another Moebius neck ring, and managed to hammer out a pattern. Now I just need to make a third one while disengaging my brain and following the pattern—that's the first round of testing for my quilt patterns, then they go off to my victims. Uh, I mean testers.

Not having any knitting testers yet, I'm looking for a few people who wouldn't mind trying this pattern. If you're interested, let me know.

I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease in White Frost for this scarf and if my gauge hadn't loosened up it would've taken one skein. That being said, it took roughly 192 yards, which is the size of a regular skein of Wool-Ease but not in the frosts, which are 162 yards. But it was still under $5 for two skeins.

I haven't blocked either neck ring yet, and they still look pretty good if I do say so myself. The blue neck ring (see previous post below) is one continuous piece of yarn--I didn't have to weave in any ends but the first and last stitches. The white frost one I ended up weaving more than twelve ends in, but that was mostly because I wasn't paying attention and cut the yarn too soon, and I gave up on untangling some knots and just cut the yarn. I've just spent too much time lately untangling yarn after my kids get to it! They sure do have a good time winding it all over the house. Literally.

Did you know that a spool of thread can go from my sewing room all the way across the house to the kitchen, and back, and still have plenty of thread to tangle around my table back in the sewing room and have still more left on the spool? I hadn't realized that until my kids so generously decided to demonstrate. At least I didn't feel bad about just cutting it off and throwing away a giant ball of thread.

And just so you don't feel deprived of pictures of my "little angels," here is a recent one. (I know you secretly wanted to see what these two unwinders of thread and knotters of yarn look like). My DD is wearing part of her Halloween costume from the year before last, which she would NOT wear at Halloween. I'd had her try it on as I was making it and she pronounced it "itchy" and refused to wear it again. She was especially proud that she paired the shoes with the dress and has recently decided that it doesn't itch any more. It better not--I spent HOURS hand-sewing twill tape over all the inside seams so the glittery fabric didn't itch her tender underarms. :-) I still had to bribe her to model it for me for a picture that Halloween, and she cried the whole time anyway. I have a wonderful picture of the world's saddest princess. ;-)

DD is 4 and DS is 18 months, in case you were wondering.
